Merging Channels is a consulting organization that focuses on the distribution and channel markets for emerging technology companies in today's marketplace. Whether you have a channel that is not producing the revenues you desire or you are wanting to develop new channels for increasing your sales and revenues, Merging Channels can assist you.
We also offer many services around mergers and acquisitions.  Our professionals have grown distribution channels, built them from the ground up, changed existing processes for enhanced growth and handled many mergers and acquisitions, on both the buy-side and the sell-side.


Leadership


Merging Channels is led by veteran Tom Barnes.  Tom has been in the technology marketplace for over 25 years.  He has worked for Fortune 500 companies such as Intergraph Corporation, the leading CAD/CAM provider to some of the largest companies in the world, to some of the smaller ECommerce start-ups during the early 90's.  Most recently Tom was with Seagull Software, the leading software company for service-enabling legacy systems.  At Seagull, Tom was responsible for all channels and lead their M&A team.  Upon joining Seagull in 2002, Seagull had no distribution channels.  In 2007 when Tom left Seagull he had developed distribution channels and relationships with companies such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, BEA, WebMethods and many more.  During his tenure at Seagull, Tom oversaw 4 acquisitions as Seagull was in the mode of growing their company.  Tom left Seagull in early 2007 upon the completion of the sale of the company to a software company in Boston.
Tom now focuses soley on assisting emerging technology companies develop, build and execute distribution channels and assist companies with the M&A process.
